Web accessibility, WCAG 2.2 and contrast ratios in practice
WCAG 2.2 is concrete: text needs a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, touch targets must be at least 24×24 pixels, and everything has to work with a keyboard. We translate the requirements into design decisions — colour palettes that pass contrast checks, buttons that hit on mobile, and focus states you can actually see.
Good accessibility can't be patched on afterwards with an overlay. That's why we build it into the design system from the start — in the typography, the colours and the components — so it holds every time new content goes live.
